On 11 April 2025, Antonio Kung from Trialog, a partner in the CEI-Sphere project, took part in the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Workshop on “Security and Privacy for Digital Twin and Metaverse,” held at ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
During his presentation, Kung addressed two critical challenges in the development of secure and trustworthy digital environments: ecosystem integration and governance. He demonstrated how the CEI-Sphere hourglass model can serve as a valuable analytical framework to assess and address security and privacy issues in digital twin and metaverse ecosystems.
The workshop gathered global experts to review the findings of the ITU-T Focus Group on Metaverse (FG-MV), highlight ongoing initiatives, and explore pathways for international standardisation in areas such as privacy protection, data security, and digital trust in immersive technologies.
This engagement reinforces CEI-Sphere's commitment to contributing to global discussions on trustworthy AI and emerging technologies.
