Join our Task Forces

Alongside the collaboration Spheres, CEI-Sphere also supports the O-CEI and COP-PILOT Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs) through the creation of dedicated Task Forces (TFs).

These Task Forces act as the backbone of collaboration across the Cloud-Edge-IoT community. They bring together representatives from the LSPs, cluster projects, and CSA partners to work on key topics that cut across sectors and technologies. By joining forces, they ensure that lessons learned, best practices, and technical knowledge are shared openly, helping the LSPs (as well as Europe’s CEI ecosystem as a whole) to progress faster and with greater impact.

The Task Forces are structured around three main areas:

  Open-source, architecture & standardisation

  Advancing interoperability through common architectures, certification frameworks, and open-source practices that can be adopted across projects.

• 🚀

  Market uptake & industry engagement

  Bringing CEI innovations closer to market—exploring go-to-market pathways, supporting open calls, and connecting with industry stakeholders.

• 🤝

  Stakeholder forum & outreach

  Strengthening links with major EU-level initiatives (e.g., Chips JU, Adra, BDVA) and mobilising the community via events, workshops, hackathons, and collaborative activities.

Each Task Force is led by a CSA partner and supported by members from across the projects. Together, they provide a platform where knowledge can flow freely and new ideas can be tested, refined, and amplified.
