CEI-Sphere Task Force Participation Questionnaire

CEI-Sphere supports the development of an open and interoperable Cloud-Edge-IoT (CEI) ecosystem by helping large-scale pilot projects align on standards, use cases, market needs, and technological challenges. The project will produce key tools—such as a reference architecture, market analysis, and interoperability guidelines—and bring together industry players to accelerate innovation and international impact.

As part of the CEI-Sphere initiative, we are forming three focused Task Forces (TFs) to support collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the Cloud-Edge-IoT ecosystem. Each Task Force brings together experts and stakeholders to contribute to key areas: open-source and architecture, market uptake and industry engagement, and stakeholder outreach.

This short questionnaire is designed to identify your interest in joining one or more of these Task Forces. Participation offers an opportunity to shape strategic directions, contribute to shared outputs such as white papers and events, and collaborate directly with peers from other projects.

Task Force 1: Open-source, Architecture, and Standardisation

This Task Force is dedicated to supporting Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs) through technical expertise in open-source development, system architecture, and compliance with relevant standards. By bringing together the previously separate efforts of open-source engagement and architectural design, this group works to streamline and unify technical approaches across projects. Its primary aim is to ensure that solutions are robust, interoperable, and reusable, helping projects build on shared foundations and adhere to best practices in open development and certification.
Task Force 2: Market Uptake and Industry Engagement

Focusing on turning innovation into practical impact, this Task Force helps projects reach the market and connect with industry stakeholders. By combining ecosystem engagement with sector-specific market insights, it provides guidance on commercialization strategies, supports participation in open calls, and facilitates communication with potential adopters. This group plays a key role in ensuring that project results are not only technically sound but also positioned for real-world uptake and long-term sustainability in the market.
Task Force 3: Stakeholder Forum and Outreach

This Task Force leads the coordination of strategic outreach and stakeholder engagement across the CEI-Sphere ecosystem. Its mission is to build strong connections with key European initiatives, national and regional bodies, and other relevant networks. Through activities such as events, hackathons, and collaborative initiatives, the group fosters visibility, dialogue, and alignment between CEI-Sphere and broader policy and innovation landscapes. By merging strategic liaison efforts with communication strategies, it ensures that the project's voice is present and influential across multiple levels of engagement.
