Enlit Europe brings together the people building Europe’s energy system: utilities, grid operators, technology providers, policymakers and the research projects working on what comes next. This year it moves to Vienna, and CEI-Sphere will be there across all three days, together with the two Large-Scale Pilots it supports, O-CEI and COP-PILOT.
The energy sector is where a lot of the Cloud-Edge-IoT story becomes concrete. Grid flexibility, distributed energy resources, vehicle-to-grid services and real-time monitoring all depend on moving data and computation between the cloud, the edge and the device, and on doing it in ways that different operators and vendors can actually work with. Enlit is a good place to test that argument against the people who have to run the systems.
Our session: Upscaling open source Cloud-Edge-IoT tools emanating from EC efforts
🗓️ Tuesday 10 November | 🕒 14:00 to 15:00 CET
O-CEI and COP-PILOT are demonstrating the uptake of CEI technologies for monitoring, data management, security, privacy and orchestration, building on earlier European investment in Meta Operating Systems and in telecommunications innovation such as SNS and 5G/6G.
This session looks at how those results are being structured, through blueprints and standardised methodologies, so that they can be picked up and reused rather than ending with the project that produced them. Speakers from both pilots will present the work alongside CEI-Sphere, with an external perspective from the BRIDGE initiative.

Also at Enlit: the European Commission session
🗓️ Wednesday 11 November | 🕒 14:00 to 15:30 CET
O-CEI and COP-PILOT will also take part in the session hosted by the European Commission, DG CNECT, with one representative from each project presenting their work alongside other EU-funded initiatives.
Come and find us at the EU Projects Zone
Across the three days, CEI-Sphere, O-CEI and COP-PILOT will share a stand in the EU Projects Zone. Drop by to talk to the teams about the pilots, the open calls, the Use Case Catalogue or the Hourglass Model, or simply to find out whether our work is relevant to yours. No appointment needed.
