As Europe accelerates its twin green and digital transitions, V2G Leaders Europe 2025 will bring together key actors from across the automotive and energy sectors to shape the future of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) integration. The event will take place on 20 November 2025 at Area 42 in Brussels, offering a full day of high-level discussion, collaboration, and innovation.
Under the theme "Smart and Bidirectional Charging in Light of the European Automotive Action Plan", the event will explore how electric vehicles (EVs) can be transformed from mere mobility solutions into strategic assets supporting Europe’s energy resilience and climate ambitions. As EV adoption continues to grow, smart and bidirectional charging technologies present new opportunities for improving grid flexibility, integrating renewables, and empowering consumers as active energy participants.
Through a series of expert-led panels and presentations, V2G Leaders Europe will address both policy and technical hurdles to scaling V2G solutions. Key topics on the agenda include:
- Overcoming regulatory and interoperability challenges
- Advancing cross-sector standardisation
- Aligning innovation with the European Commission’s Automotive Action Plan
The event will also spotlight leading initiatives and networks such as IEA Task 53, the V2X Alliance, the Sustainable Transport Forum, and the Digital4Energy expert group, all working at the intersection of clean mobility and smart energy.
The afternoon will feature a dedicated Tech Track, with deep dives into:
- Deployment-ready V2G infrastructure
- Pilots at the nexus of cloud-edge-IoT, energy, and mobility
- Integrated energy-mobility platforms
- Cross-sector collaboration for standards and policy alignment
Participants can also engage with a dynamic poster session and explore ways to get involved, from joining workshops to hosting a booth.
