Calculation of energy footprint of dairy (halloumi) products

Overview

Aggregates energy consumption data across the farm-production chain, to calculate batch-level energy and environmental footprint. Using O-CEI orchestration and IoT-edge-cloud elements it provides trusted, traceable digital evidence to support sustainability assessment, auditing, and regulatory reporting of Halloumi cheese production.

 

Expected Outcomes

  • To reduce the overall environmental footprint of halloumi cheese production by 15% through improved resource efficiency, sustainable practices and lower greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain.
    • KPI: 15% reduction of environmental footprint of the final halloumi cheese product.
       
  • Trusted digital evidence to support product sustainability labels and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) aligned regulatory reporting.
